Service Description
Maple Bottom Farm Camp is offered for children 7-12. Children must have completed 1st grade. Camp will be held rain or shine June 9-11from 10:00-3:00. Lunch is provided. Children with dietary restrictions are asked to bring their own lunch. Kids will experience hands on learning. Each day will include time for chores and time with the animals. We will gather eggs, feed calves, and perform various other activities and chores. Every days is different on the farm and we look forward to sharing ours with your child! We will make crafts, plant seeds, explore nature, learn about agriculture, and have fun. Participants receive a t-shirt. If campers wear their t-shirt to our sunflower maze later in the summer, they will receive FREE admission. If you are traveling from a distance, consider staying with us as well. Our Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast has limited rooms reserved at a discounted rate for camp families during the week. Campers and their families are welcome to stay and start their morning with a hearty farm breakfast before camp and spend their afternoons and evenings exploring the nearby Laurel Highlands. I understand that an agritourism activity provider is not protected from liability if the provider: (1) Performs an act in a grossly negligent manner and causes injury or damages to a participant. (2) Purposefully causes a participant’s injury. (3) Acts or fails to act in a way that constitutes criminal conduct. (4) Recklessly fails to warn or guard against a dangerous condition that causes injury or damages to a participant. A dangerous condition is a condition that creates an imminent and substantial risk of injury or damages to a participant.”
