Maple Bottom Farm is owned by Vickie & Mike Baker and our children Lee & Clara. Our Farmhouse B&B is family operated with Vickie's mother, Susan Ansell. We are located on a dead end road in Dawson, PA , just minutes from Scottdale and Connellsville, and are less than an hour from Pittsburgh. Guests can enjoy a farm-stay or agri-tourism activity. Our goal is to provide families with a relaxing experience in our updated Farmhouse. Our homemade breakfast features many items grown right here on the farm. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us.
Our dairy consists of a DeLaval robotic milker and we process Golden Guernsey dairy products as part of Naturally Golden Family Farms, a group of local family farmers working together to bring quality dairy products to our community.
We offer a sunflower maze and zinnia fields that are open seasonally. Please check Facebook for daily hours and closures due to weather.
No dogs permitted in the maze.
Breakfast is served each morning and features many items produced on our farm including Golden Guernsey cheeses, local milk, as well as sausage, bacon and eggs direct from our farms. If you wake up early enough you will have the opportunity to gather eggs for your own breakfast!
Rooms are refreshed daily with essential supplies and thoroughly cleaned after each guest and every 3rd day for long term guests.
Leashed pets are permitted at the B&B only in the Garnet and AnnaLee rooms and must show proof of vaccination and flea protection. $25 fee/pet. Max 2 pets. Additional pet policy upon request.
Wifi is available throughout the house. A TV and VCR/DVD player in the living room along with a selection of VCR tapes is available for your entertainment. Bedrooms include a SmartTV.

ACTIVITIES & THINGS TO DO
A prearranged farm tour is available for a fee and will include a tour of our robotic milking facility, feeding area, calves, and allow you to see where your food comes from. You may even be able to gather your own eggs from our hens.
Our seasonal sunflower maze is family friendly with many photographic opportunities. We will reopen mid July 2021. Check our Facebook page for updates. Private parties as well as photography sessions can be booked. Birdseed is available.
Naturally Golden Family Farms
We are a member of a family owned milk Co-Operative and offer our own Golden Guernsey cheese for guests to enjoy.
Wildlife and Bird Watching
Our farm is home to whitetail deer, turkeys, many bird species and an occasional coyote, fox, and bear. Sit on our porch and enjoy the sites and sounds of nature.
One of the best parts of being in the country is relaxing on the porch. We have an assorted collection of comfy rocking chairs and encourage guests to simply sit and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of country living. We are a working farm and you may also see and hear tractors working or even an escaped calf out for a stroll.
We are located in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, just a short drive from Fallingwater and Ohiopyle and near The Great Allegheny Passage. Bike trail pick up and drop off in Dawson can be pre-arranged for guests for an additional fee. Our dead end road also offers great biking for children.
